5 Ways to Style the Outerwear Trend

Shacket CHeck

Versatility is an understatement…

I’ve been seeing a lot of bloggers, influencers, etc., wearing these “shackets”. I must say, I wasn’t super convinced that it was a trend I definitely needed to add to my wardrobe. After seeing it over and over, I decided I would give the trend a try. I started my search at Nasty Gal and loved almost everything. I knew I wanted to stick with something fairly neutral; and I love the camel-ish color for the fall/ winter. I found a great option with white, grey, camel-ish, burnt orange-ish, and black-ish checkered, plaid print. I don’t think they have the exact one I have, but a similar one is here. Let me tell y’all! As soon as I took it out of the packaging and got a look at the colors and the fit in person- I knew I was in love! I love the longline style of it and the oversized, but not overbearing fit. The colors are neutrals (depending on your definition) so it makes for eassssyyy styling. You can rock it to dress down an outfit, to dress up an athleisure look, as a mixed print contrast, or even as a bold addition to an otherwise monochrome look. The possibilities with this piece are endless. I wasn’t lying when I said its versatility is an understatement! Share your thoughts on this trend in the comments below. Have you tried it yet? If so, where’d you snag yours? What are some of your favorite ways to style it?
