Biker shorts are back, and I’m not at all mad about it (can’t you tell!?). Another 90’s trend has blessed us with its second coming. I was definitely a biker shorts (aka spandex) wearer back in the day. I have a picture of myself from elementary school with a neon pink pair, slouch socks, an oversized tee, and some kind of white sneaker. I’m not sure if I was on trend then, but I think it’s safe to say I would definitely be on trend now. I love that biker shorts are an extension/variation of the athleisure trend and are just as versatile (and comfy too)! Whether dressed up with a blazer, heel, and belt bag; or dressed down in chunky trainers with socks and a tee, biker shorts can easily rise to the occasion.

If you haven’t already noticed, I love prints (and love mixing them even more). I love the zebra print because it’s a bit less travelled. Leopard and snake print are more common and always sort of “in”. I figured I’d take a leap with the zebra. I happened to dip into my mother’s closet and found this zebra print top. I think this print on print look works because of the contrasting sizes of the print- adding a bit of subtlety. Mixing prints can be especially tricky when one is too bold for the other. It becomes distracting.

I went for a somewhere in between vibe. The peek of the lace bra and this corky rubik’s cube purse help to add in some unexpected elements. I have also really been into white shoes lately, not to mention, the cool ball heels that have become popular.
