C’est delicieux! Can you guess what that means? Anything close to delicious with a French accent works. If you haven’t been to Convivial, then you’re missing out. Convivial during Restaurant Week is a win - times deux. This French- American cafe, in the heart of Shaw, is a feast for the famished. With a traditional multi- course meal, Convivial hits every mark just right. Even better, during Restaurant Week you get to choose 3 of 5 course options, including dessert. Going with a group? Excellent choice; and my recommendation (my friends and I totaled 6). You’ll want to get a taste of as many different dishes as you can (thank me later!). My course choices included the Beef Consumme and the Braised Pork Butt. As much as my taste buds loved each of the dishes I devoured and tried, as a proud sweet tooth owner, the Hot Sticky Sweet Toffee Pudding was the perfect finale. Confession: I’m far from an aficionado of French cuisine, and truthfully, wasn’t always exactly sure what I ordered- without some help from Google. Lucky for you, no choice is a bad choice. And the even better news is, this Parisian party in your mouth probably won’t be saying Au revoir anytime soon.
Bon Appetit!
